In normal circumstances, the Spring Market in Fountain Hills is a flurry of activity, with agents scurrying to help clients who desire to sell their homes. As we have experienced in the last two years, the lack of sellers has changed the dynamic of the Spring Market. With only a handful of homes for sale in the city, would-be buyers are forced to either sit on the sidelines or look outside of Fountain Hills for available homes.
This extended shortage of homes for sale is wearing buyers down. With the double-whammy of higher prices AND higher interest rates, many buyers have exited the market altogether. Cash buyers, who aren’t impacted by interest rates, are the ones who most often prevail in bidding wars.
